Kylee Chate - Director of Supporting You and Supporting Your Independence NSW Forster - Tuncurry

Kylee Chate

Senior Co-ordinator

Kylee began her career in the disability sector in 2013, starting as a support worker before progressing into case management prior to the rollout of the NDIS in 2016. Since then, she has provided Support Coordination to participants and their families, supporting them to navigate the NDIS and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Before entering the disability sector, Kylee worked as a Student Services Officer within the Department of Education, gaining valuable experience supporting students and families within complex systems.

Kylee’s pathway into disability support was strongly informed by lived experience. Through researching and advocating to better understand the needs of her own son—who lives with Autism, Major Depressive Disorder, ADD, and psychosocial disability—she developed a deep understanding of both the personal and systemic challenges faced by individuals and families.

Kylee holds a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, and Community Services, and has completed extensive professional development in Support Coordination through The Growing Space and DSC (Disability Services Consulting). More recently, she completed Allied Behaviour Analysis training in Positive Practices in Behavioural Support and Mental health first aid and has undertaken multiple training sessions delivered by Professor Tony Attwood, further strengthening her expertise in autism-informed practice.

Kylee brings together professional experience, strong systems knowledge, and lived experience to provide person-centred, ethical, and outcomes-focused support.
